Born in Giarre (CT), in 2013 he enrolled at the Brera Academy in Milan, where his first exhibition experiences began. In 2016, he was selected for an artist residency in the Hangzhou region of China. He graduated in Painting in 2017. At the end of 2018, he opened a workshop and exhibition space in Milan called “Studio Scalzo,” where he began working with artists and curators. In 2019, he was selected among the artists of the Monza Art Biennale, where he was awarded for the installation and video work “Quiescenza,” completed in 2020. In 2021, he graduated in Sculpture with a thesis on the Mafia, interviewing the Palermo-based director Franco Maresco. In 2023, he completed his studies with a Documentary course at the Civica Scuola Luchino Visconti. In September 2023, he won the award for Best Italian Feature Film at the Visioni dal Mondo Documentary Festival in Milan with the film La Primavera è primavera anche in città, a collective work with authors Mattia Arreghini, Valerio Di Martino, and Elia Storchi. In the same year, he participated in other film festivals and received a special mention for Best Work on the Territory at the Fluvione Film Festival in Roccafluvione (AP) with the video/short film Fluitazione – Lettera al Fiume. He currently lives in Milan, teaches, and is working on the production of two documentary films between Lombardy and Marche.
